NNormal, Kilian Jornet’s trail running brand in partnership with Camper, officially launched in China on 22 March 2025 at the Golden Coast Trail Race in Wenling, Zhejiang, China.

However, the legendary trail runner, affectionately (perhaps reverently?) known in China as Emperor K (K天王), could not attend the event as his wife was expecting their daughter very soon.

NNormal’s China Marketing Director, Ben (username 麻麻鱼Ben on Red Note), announced the brand launch event, stating that this was five months in the working.

When asked about brick-and-mortar stores in the note comments, Ben only replied that PB Sport in Shanghai carried the products, implying they are the current authorised distributor. It’s also available on TMALL (天猫), a Chinese ecommerce app.

In a separate note reflecting on the brand launch, Ben mentioned that a flagship store is in the works and that “NNormal will focus 50% of its efforts on product research and development, while the other 50% will be building on its environmentally-conscious brand story. Chinese fans will better understand Kilian’s ultimate pursuit of product performance and how commitment to nature is integrated into the brand and its products.

Kilian Jornet launched NNormal in partnership with Spanish shoemaker Camper in 2022.

The NNormal Kjerag is my favourite pair of trail running shoes, and I believe in the brand’s vision for environmental sustainability. Here’s hoping that NNormal will do more than sell shoes, apparel, and accessories in China.
